Chime sends a confirmation code to your phone every time you log in to the app, from short code 24463. Signival gives you a temporary non-VoIP number to receive the OTP. Pay in Naira or crypto.
Chime asks for a phone number when you create an account and sends a confirmation code to it whenever you log in to the app. It sends a six-digit one-time password (OTP) by SMS, a temporary code you enter to continue. If you would rather not use your personal SIM, Signival gives you a temporary non-VoIP phone number that receives the Chime SMS verification code and shows it in your dashboard.
Chime’s help is specific about delivery: the codes come from the notification number 24463, you can opt in by texting START to it, and a carrier that blocks short codes will block Chime too. It is just as specific about changing numbers: you can do it in the app with a code, and you may be asked for a government-issued photo ID. This guide covers both, how to receive a Chime OTP with Signival, and why the number on the account needs a plan.
Chime says it sends a confirmation code to your phone number when you log in to the app. The number on the account is therefore the key to every login, not just the first.
Chime says that if you do not get the code, you should confirm you are checking the number on your Chime account. If you have not opted in to SMS messaging from Chime, text START to 24463. Make sure 24463 is not on your blocked list, and ask your carrier whether your plan can receive premium or short-code messages.
Chime says resetting your password needs both the email address and the phone number on your account. You choose ‘Text me the code’ or ‘Call me with the code’, and if you have changed your number you select Update number and verify your identity with a valid ID.

Because Chime sends a code at every login, the number is the key to the account. A rented number that expires leaves later logins with no code. Chime says you can update the number in the app, and the new number must receive a verification code, so do it while you can still log in.
Chime offers ‘Call me with the code’ in its password reset. An SMS-only number cannot receive a call, so choose the text option and cancel if only a call is offered.
