Bolt is tied to your phone number across rides and food, and changing it needs a code. Signival gives you a temporary number to receive the OTP, but read the limits first. Pay in Naira or crypto.
Bolt, the ride-hailing and food delivery app, verifies your phone number by SMS: a one-time password (OTP), a temporary code you enter in the app. If you would rather not use your personal SIM for that step, Signival gives you a temporary phone number that receives the Bolt SMS verification code and shows it in your dashboard.
A caution first. Bolt is built around the phone number, the same profile covers Bolt Food and Bolt rides, and drivers use the number to reach you. A rented number that expires is a poor fit for ordinary use. This page uses what Bolt says in its own help articles, where we could reach them, and keeps to general behaviour elsewhere. It covers where Bolt uses the number, how to receive a Bolt OTP with Signival, and when not to use it. This is the ride-hailing company, not the Bolt checkout service.
Bolt identifies riders and couriers by phone number. When you edit your number in the Bolt Food app, Bolt sends a verification request by SMS to the new number, and once you verify it the number updates in your profile automatically.
The same profile is shared. Bolt says that when you update your personal information in the Bolt Food app, the changes are also applied to the Bolt ride-hailing app.
For drivers, changing a phone number works differently. Bolt sends a confirmation code by SMS to the old number currently on the driver account, and says that if you no longer have access to it you should contact support.
You enter your number and Bolt texts a code to confirm it. Your phone number is how the account is identified.
In the Bolt Food app, a changed number is confirmed by an SMS to the new number, and the change also applies to the ride-hailing app.
Bolt sends a code to the old number on a driver account to confirm a change, so access to the old number matters.
Get an available number for Bolt, receive the SMS verification code, and complete your activation through your Signival dashboard.
An OTP number is a temporary phone number, sometimes called a virtual number, that receives text messages without a SIM in your phone. For Bolt it can receive the sign-up code by SMS.
In the help pages we checked, Bolt does not publish rules about virtual or VoIP numbers. A temporary number that receives SMS can complete the SMS route, but Bolt runs its own checks.
The bigger problem is that the number is your account. Rides and food orders use it, drivers may call or text you, and a rented number expires. For drivers, Bolt’s change-of-number process sends a code to the old number, so losing access to it means contacting support.
The only sensible use is to get into the account and then change to a number you keep while the rented number still works.
Sign up on Signival and add funds with cryptocurrency or in Naira.
Search for Bolt in SMS Verification and pick a country. Check the live price and availability first.
Open the Bolt app, choose your country and enter the number, then ask for the code by SMS.
When Bolt sends the text, the code appears in your Signival dashboard. Type it in before the activation ends.
In your profile, update your phone number to one you own while the rented number still works. Bolt texts a code to the new number to confirm.
These are common countries for receiving a Bolt OTP code. Bolt operates in specific countries and cities and does not publish a list of preferred number countries. Availability and prices on Signival change, so check the live listings.

Fund your Signival wallet using supported local payment methods and pay for verification services in Nigerian Naira (NGN).
Customers in any country, including Ghana, South Africa, Cameroon, Canada, the USA, the UK, Germany and India, can fund their wallets with supported cryptocurrency, so you do not need a Nigerian bank account.
Temporary non-VoIP phone numbers for receiving one-time password (OTP) codes by SMS during an active activation session. The number lasts for the activation rather than working as a permanent personal phone line.
Depending on current inventory, you can choose from available country codes when requesting a Bolt verification number, so you can pick one that fits your setup.
Nigerian users can fund in Naira using local payment methods. Customers in any country can fund with cryptocurrency. Your balance can then be used for supported verification services.
Once an SMS reaches the assigned number, the verification code is displayed in your Signival dashboard, so you manage the number and the incoming message from one place.
Check the country and digits, wait through the activation window and request the code once. If nothing arrives within 5 minutes, cancel for a refund.
Bolt does not publish number rules. Cancel and try a number from another country.
Bolt may need a code sent to the number on the account. If the rented number has expired, contact Bolt support.

Contact Bolt support through the app. Keep an email you control on the account.
Fund your Signival wallet in Naira or with cryptocurrency, choose Bolt and a country in your dashboard, and enter the temporary number you are given into Bolt’s phone field. Request the SMS, and when Bolt sends the one-time code it appears in your dashboard for you to type in. Whether the number is accepted is up to Bolt.
In the help pages we checked, Bolt does not describe rules about virtual or VoIP numbers. A temporary number that receives SMS can complete the SMS route, but Bolt runs its own checks.
Signival numbers are sourced from mobile operators rather than internet-based VoIP lines. Bolt does not publish rules about number types. Bolt runs its own checks.
Signival numbers are paid, starting from 150 naira. A free public number is shared by many people, so anyone can read the code sent to it. Because the number identifies your Bolt account, that is a risky choice.
Yes. Bolt says changes to your personal information in the Bolt Food app also apply to the Bolt ride-hailing app.
In the Bolt Food app, edit the phone number in your profile and verify the new number by the SMS Bolt sends. Drivers change it in the Driver Portal, and the code goes to the old number.
For drivers, Bolt says to contact support. For riders, contact support through the app if you cannot receive the code you need.
Not an SMS-only one. A rented number that cannot take calls and expires is a poor fit for taking rides.
Bolt may offer a call, but an SMS-only number cannot receive it. If the SMS does not arrive, cancel and try another number.
If the SMS does not arrive before the activation expires, the request is closed under the applicable service and refund terms, and eligible failed activations may qualify for a wallet refund. Check the activation status and refund conditions shown on Signival before you order.
